Born in Germany in 1954 to military parents, Rick began his construction career, probably around his 7th birthday, by building treehouses in his Air Force compound in High Wycombe, England. His formal training, however, began at Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering in 1976.
Professional Engineering (PE) registration was achieved in Pennsylvania in 1980, Maryland in 1983, and Florida in 1998.
At 37, Rick devoted full-time study for his Master's (MBA) degree in Washington, DC and graduated with Summa cum Laude Honors a year later in 1992.
Rick relocated to Naples anticipating early retirement in 1997 but his enthusiasm prevailed and he continued his construction career with WCI and BCBE.
During his 31 years of Engineering, Construction and Project Management, Rick gained International and Stateside experience on Industrial Process Plants, state-of-the-art Military Installations, mid-rise Office Buildings, four 32-story high rise Condominiums, Shopping Malls, Hotels, Residential Housing, Marine Structures and Telephone NOC centers in such diverse locations as Iran, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Egypt and the United States.
Rick holds a valid Top Secret Security Clearance from the U. S. Department of State.
Combining his academic achievements, extensive and varied work experience with his life-long enjoyment of construction, Rick pursued the final links to entrepreneurship by obtaining both the Florida General Contractor's License and Florida Realtor's license in 2001.
SAND CASTLES ESTATE HOMES, INC. was incorporated in April 2001.

Eddie began his construction career in 1971 as a union carpenter in Miami which evolved into a Senior Superintendent position with the Robert Turchin Construction Company for the development of several of Miami's landmark buildings existing today.
In 1984, Eddie joined the Arvida Corporation in Boca Raton, Florida as a Project Manager and was quickly promoted to the position of Director of High Rise Division. During this time, Eddie obtained his GC licenses.
Overseas experience was obtained in 1991-1992 when Eddie constructed the Ritz Carlton Hotel for the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain as the Senior Project Manager for Bovis International.
Eddie returned to Florida and became a prime consultant to the Atlantic Gulf Communities Corporation in 1995 which subsequently developed into the position of Vice President of Construction for the building of luxury high-rise Condominiums, Marinas and Country Club facilities.
Eddie permanently relocated to the Naples area and became the Director of West Coast Construction in 2000 for WCI Amenities Group responsible for Golf Course Clubhouses, Marinas, Sports Clubs and associated infrastructure.
To enhance and complement his Contractor's Licenses, extensive construction experience, enthusiasm, outgoing personality and vast network of friends and contacts, Eddie obtained a Florida Real Estate License in 2002.
In summary, Eddie is a Florida licensed General Contractor, Roofing Contractor and Real Estate Broker with over 32 years experience in construction and management of luxury high rise condominiums, office buildings, country clubs, sports facilities, auditoriums, marinas and single family homes.
Since the days as co-workers at WCI, Eddie and Rick Spieth continued their friendship, worked together in real estate ventures and constantly spoke of the wisdom to unite forces in a construction company. Eddie finally joined SAND CASTLES ESTATE HOMES, INC. as Director of Operations in 2003.
